Each tooth has its own distinct role; there is no such thing as an unnecessary tooth. Without realizing it, humans use their teeth as "sensors," much like the whiskers of a dog or cat. Extracting a tooth is the same as throwing away a sensor. In every kind of treatment, our clinic follows a policy of avoiding extraction wherever possible.

Relationship

Our clinic follows a policy of avoiding tooth extraction for orthodontic treatment wherever possible. Through appropriate examination and diagnosis, we aim to straighten the teeth and adjust the bite (although extracting wisdom teeth may be advisable in some cases). The reasons are explained on the TMD page.

Fully Equipped: procedures using a microscope

Our treatment rooms are equipped with microscopes, which we use during procedures. Because the teeth are delicate sensors, fine procedures are required.

Because an ordinary household television monitor cannot display images of around 0.01 mm, such as the tip of a tooth root, we use EIZO high-resolution laboratory-grade monitors to display treatment images. These, too, are installed on every unit.
